Kingscliff Travel Guide

Just half an hour from Surfers Paradise, Kingscliff offers a delightful alternative to the bustle of the Gold Coast. It has all the attractions of a coastal resort town with the added benefit of a simpler, less crowded and more relaxing ambience.
The area is known as the Tweed Coast, incorporating a string of stunning beaches, the scenic hinterland of the Tweed River Valley and the backdrop of Mt Warning and the ranges. In 1770 Captain Cook sailed past here and named Mt Warning and Point Danger for the reefs that he nearly hit just north of Kingscliff. Today the coastal features are a reason to visit – surfing, swimming and diving are favourite activities.
