Manly is a beach suburb of
Sydney, with a long stretch of sand on the ocean side which runs from Queenscliff Beach to North Steyne Beach and Manly Beach. Manly has a harbour side as well. Norfolk Island pine trees are a prominent feature of both the ocean and harbour-side beaches. The best way to get to Manly is on the ferry from Circular Quay by the Opera House.
Manly is packed with bars, cafes, excellent restaurants, a few nightclubs and lots of hotels, backpackers and B&B's. Apart from the beach, you can enjoy Oceanworld, kayaking, swimming, tennis, golf, beach volleyball, roller blading, scenic and historical walks, art, parasailing, scuba diving and fishing. The Manly International Jazz Festival in October is Australia's largest community based jazz festival.
