Bilinga is a wide open beach located south of
Currumbin, on the
Gold Coast,
Queensland. Bilinga borrows its name from the Aboriginal word 'Bilinba' meaning bats, but it is unlikely visitors will encounter these small mammals while visiting Bilinga.
This is a popular beach with confident surfers, left and right peaks exist along the entire stretch during small easterly swells with light winds. There are also good fishing opportunities at Bilinga beach over the rock outcrops for dart and bream.
