Shopping and Dining Out in Brisbane

Shopping in Brisbane

Brisbane’s endless shopping opportunities have recently expanded with Sunday shopping now extending to the suburbs as well as in the CBD. In the city centre, the central hub is the exciting Queen Street Mall, with a full range of international stores, and the multi-level Myer Centre. Sprawling suburban shopping malls offer hundreds of shops under one roof, and the boutique shopper will find plenty of fascinating shops amidst the café strips of Milton, West End and Paddington. Bargain hunters should head for Stones Corner where many of the city’s factory and seconds outlets have their shops.

Brisbane is a market city with the most popular being the Sunday Riverside and Eagle Street Pier markets, the South Bank markets on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, and the Chinatown markets every Saturday.

Dining Out in Brisbane

Brisbane offers a variety of dining experiences including a booming café culture located at Park Road in Milton, Racecourse Road in Hamilton, Boundary Street in West End and the boulevard pavements of Albert Street in the city. There are also many award-winning restaurants in and around the city, and some great meals and lively entertainment at Brisbane’s numerous pubs.
