The beaches of Broadwater are protected by
The Spit (to the South) and
South Stradbroke Island (to the North). A waterfront promenade starts at
Biggera Waters, continues south to
Southport and is ideal for walking, running or cycling. There are also a number of parks and playgrounds situated on Broadwater.
Due to its calm waters and safe access to the Pacific Ocean, Broadwater is also a popular area for boating.
