Buddina Beach faces east so it picks up a considerable swell, which is great news for surfers - the medium swell is great from any directions with light winds and a good bank. But there are also large tides and strong swells so swimming and board riding is recommended for the more confident and more experienced. It’s best to check with the lifeguards for sweep, rip and wave information.
Stong swimmer or not, everyone can enjoy Buddina Beach – its crystal clear waters and golden sand are unforgettable and great for walking. There is also a BBQ and picnic area, and the beach is also popular with fishermen trying to catch Taylor.
