Bundaberg Travel Guide
Bundaberg accommodation, Bundaberg activities and attractions, Bundaberg maps, transportation to and around Bundaberg - the ALL NEW Jasons Bundaberg Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Bundaberg.
Bundaberg is the centre for
Queensland's premier sugarcane growing district, and the
Coral Coast and Discovery Coast communities. Its location on the northern edge of
Hervey Bay makes it the southern stepping-off point to the Great Barrier Reef, and the departure point for
Lady Elliot and Lady Musgrave Islands. Visitors are well catered for with excellent shopping, fine restaurants, a great range of accommodation and many attractions.
Bundaberg township is 15km from the coast on the Burnett River and its deepwater port is the arrival point for large numbers of yachts. Other annual visitors to the region include the giant ocean turtles which nest at Mon Repos Beach and the magnificent humpback whales during their northern migration.
