Bundaberg Beaches
Head east from Bundaberg via the canefields to reach the Bundaberg Beaches where along with the surf and sand, you can also find turtles at the right time of the year. The beaches here - Bargara, Woodgate, Burnett Heads, Innes Park, Coral Cove and Elliott Heads - are noted for their good surfing, sailing and wind-surfing. All are stinger-free and are patrolled by surf lifesaving clubs throughout the season.
To the north, Moore Park Beach provides 21km of golden sandy beach. This area offers the most accessible marinelife experiences in Queensland, with the fringing reef systems of the Woongarra Marine Park, Mon Repos Turtle Sanctuary, an artificial reef just offshore and Lady Elliott Island just a short flight away.
