Natural Attractions
- Mon Repos Conservation Park is the largest and most accessible turtle rookery in Australia. For two months from mid-January turtle hatchings may be seen making the long trek across the beach to the sea. Access to the beach is restricted to ranger-led tours.
- Watersports and swimming at the beaches.
- Whale watching between July and September.
- Trips to the Southern Great Barrier Reef and the islands, including snorkelling and scubadiving packages.
- The Mystery Craters are a unique geological formation, 25 million years old.
- Fishing, bird-watching and turtle viewing in Deepwater National Park south of Agnes Water. Access by 4WD only, and there is a well laid out camping ground at Wreck Rock. Sites should be booked in advance, ph 07 4976 0766 (ranger).
- Bushwalking and bird-watching in the 7,800ha Eurimbula National Park north of Agnes Water. The park also has a primitive camping ground at Bustard Beach for those wanting to stay longer in this isolated beach environment.

- Rum Distillery Tours including the New Dark and Stormy Tour and The Big Barrel Interactive Information Centre at Bundaberg Brewed Drinks (the home of Bundaberg Ginger Beer Tour), conducted daily.
- Hinkler House Memorial Museum, a tribute to pioneer aviator Bert Hinkler.
- Wines and soft drinks made from tropical fruits at the Tropical Winery.
- The Fairymead House Sugar Museum, located in the Botanic Gardens.
- Schmeider’s Cooperage and Craft Centre, which also features wood-turning, pottery and glass-blowing.
