Historical and Cultural Attractions
- Cunnamulla Bicentennial Museum, located in the library building.
- Robber’s Tree, located in Stockyard Street, and believed to be where local folk hero Joseph Wells hid after robbing the National Bank. He was the last man in Queensland to be hung for the crime of robbery under arms.
- Heritage trail, part of the Paroo Pioneer Pathways - a series of trails throughout the Shire. The one hour walk or 20 minute drive takes in the buildings which range from corrugated iron huts of the 1880's to the prize winning design of the Anglican Church built in the 1960's. The public buildings are testimony to the wool boom of the 1950's to 1960's.
Natural Wonders
- Allan Tannock Weir, 5km south of town a natural river crossing (Keane’s Crossing) which is a great fishing and bird-watching spot.
- Warrego River Walk, along the banks and flood plains of the river. A sunset viewing deck is located half way along the walk.
Festivals
- The Cunnamulla-Eulo Festival of Opals, a week-long extravaganza held every August. It includes a fair, arts and crafts, sports competitions, the Yowah opal fields safari and a ball. The highlight is the World Lizard Racing Championship, held at the Paroo Lizard Racetrack in Eulo, 9km away.
