Currimundi Nature Reserve Park lies just north of
Caloundra, on the
Sunshine Coast,
Queensland. Currimundi encompasses unspoilt coastline, Currimundi Lake and a small remnant of Wallum Heath which was once common on the Sunshine Coast.
Brown honeyeaters, fairy wrens, native finches, and noisy friarbirds can be found and the area comes alive in spring with vibrant wildflowers. There are picnic tables and a barbecue area, and the lake itself is great for sheltered swimming. Lake Currimundi is patrolled and a good place to paddle if you have kids.
