Dalby is nestled in the heart of the Darling Downs with the beautiful
Bunya Mountains to the north and fascinating Lake Broadwater to the south. It is surrounded by one of the richest agricultural regions of Australia, producing cotton, grain crops and cattle. This progressive agricultural centre has one of the state's busiest livestock markets, and is widely acknowledged as a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of agricultural equipment. It is also the state's largest grain receiving centre, and grain silos are the district's landmark sentinels.
