Glasshouse Mountain Town

  • If you visit the Glass House Mountains, drop into the township of the same name. The main lookout gives stunning views of all the mountains, studded over the Pacific Ocean to the east. It is also worth exploring the area by car as there are some stunning drives.

Museums

  • The Australian Teamsters Hall Of Fame and Spirit of Cobb & Co is homage to the era of horse drawn transportation, including the people, the tradition, and the lifestyle of this time. Cobb & Co is an iconic Australian company that was set up in 1853 by four Americans, and in due course, proceeded to lead the field in Australian land transport. It can be found on the corner of Old Gympie Rd and Mt Beerwah Rd in the township.

Theme Parks

  • Nearby is the renowned crocodile farm known as Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo. Kids will enjoy the daily demonstrations involving crocodiles, snakes and birds of pray.
  • But if you prefer the smell of burning petrol to all that fresh air then check out the The Big Kart Track.

Picnic areas

  • Picnic areas are located at the base of Mt Beerwah or Mt Tibrogargan in the park, or nearby at Mt Beerburrum, Wild Horse Mountain, Glass House Mountains Lookout or Mary Cairncross Park, Maleny overlooking the park.
