Kenilworth Travel Guide
Kenilworth accommodation, Kenilworth activities and attractions, Kenilworth maps, transportation to and around Kenilworth - the ALL NEW Jasons Kenilworth Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Kenilworth.
Nestled in the hills behind the
Sunshine Coast is Kenilworth, an attractive village located 154 km north of
Brisbane and to the west of
Nambour.

Kenilworth, which was originally a cattle station in 1850, is situated amid the Blackhall Ranges and Kenilworth State Forest. The station owner's wife named the property Kenilworth after reading Sir Walter Scott's novel "Kenilworth". The town is still a rural community with its major industry being dairy farming. There is a 1920’s atmosphere to Kenilworth town centre, and it does offer a range of amusements to encourage visitors to pause for a few hours, but Kenilworth is a perfect base to explore the surrounding regions.
The Kenilworth State Forest provides excellent opportunities for horse riding, bushwalking, four wheel driving, gem fossicking and fishing in creeks for bass, perch cod and mullet.
