Landsborough is a historic rural township, located 76km north of the
Brisbane, on the
Sunshine Coast,
Queensland. Landsborough is rich in history and scenic attractions but has managed to stay off the beaten path of

tourists visiting the area.
Known as the gateway to the stunning Blackall Range and Mary Valley, the town was named after one of Australia’s most well known explorers, William Landsborough, who became the first explorer to traverse the continent from north to south. Established in 1863, Landsborough prospered as a stopping point for Cobb and Co. coaches, on route from Brisbane to the new goldfields at
Gympie.
