The Mackay region is synonymous with sugar – it produces a third of the nation's crop and is known as the Sugar Capital of Australia. Belyando Shire, as part of the Mackay Hinterland, is located approximately 189km from Mackay, and is a place where the traditional qualities of the Outback live on, mixed with the very best that a modern community can provide.
