Middlemount is nestled in the Brigalow country of Central Queensland, about an hour and a half away from Emerald.
Middlemount lies about 80km away from the spectacular Peak Range, which was created from a series of lava plugs formed more than 30 million years ago.
Built 20 years ago, Middlemount is a purpose built mining town and has everything you’d want of a major country town – shopping centre, banks, swimming pool, hotels and well maintained parks and gardens.
Summer temperatures soar well above 40 degrees but in the cooler months Middlemount bustles with several annual events starting with the Labour Day Picnic held on the first Sunday in May and continuing through to Race Day on the third Saturday in August and to the Police Charity Golf Day in October.
