- Dubbed the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ by locals, Blue Mountain Park provides free barbecue facilities and panoramic views. In the evenings there are wallabies feeding in the park and the birdlife is plentiful - galahs, kookaburras, blue mountain parrots and rainbow lorikeets.
- If there is a keen angler amongst your travelling troupe local Bundoora Dam is stocked with a variety of fish. The fishing is also worthwhile at the Isaacs, Mackenzie and Connors Rivers - all within one hours travelling time.
It is only a stones throw to majestic Bundoora Dam, which is great for skiing and swimming.
