Mooloolah is a small town 89kms from
Brisbane on the
Sunshine Coast,

and has a myriad of activities for the visitor. The name Mooloolah is aboriginal for ‘black snake’, and Mooloolah has an rich indiginous history that is worth exploring at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Aussie World.
Mooloolah is the northernmost village in a Blackall Range chain of hinterland towns and much of the surrounding area is conserved in stunning national parks, but only experienced bushwalkers should venture into this territory as there are few defined walking tracks. Visitors may hear Mooloolah being referred to as Mooloolah Valley – this is to distinguish it from the nearby
Mooloolaba. Mooloolah is a multiple winner in the state's annual Tidy Towns contest.
