Noosa's North Shore, a sandy peninsula sitting between the Noosa River system and the Pacific Ocean, is located 140km north of
Brisbane, on the
Sunshine Coast,
Queensland. Considered one of the countries premier natural attractions, the area remains refreshingly rustic and largely undeveloped despite the iconic Noosa shopping precinct of Hastings Street being nearby.
Noosa North Shore is at the gateway of the Great Sandy National Park that stretches for 60kms and features the coloured sand of Rainbow Beach. Noosa North Shore is backed by Lake Cooroibah and adjacent is Queensland’s cleanest urban river system. Other attractions include the Teewah Coloured Sands, Double island point, over 50 acres of lush bushland, and 50 kilometres of pristine beach where visitors can partake in horse riding, camel trips, mountain biking or deep sea fishing.
If you are in the area, take the 45 minute ferry ride across to the World Heritage listed
Fraser Island.
