Peregian Beach, about 13 kilometres south of
Noosa on the
Sunshine Coast,
Queensland, is another pristine white sand beach that typifies the string of beaches found along this coast. Peregian is a beach popular for fishing, boating and surfing, with beaches patrolled all year round.
At the southern end of Peregian Beach is Peregian Environmental Park, an area that is sanctuary to rare wallum heath. On the western side is the pleasant
Lake Weyba and surrounding National Park, which leads into the estuary at
Noosa Heads. The quaint shopping precinct of Peregian Beach Village is worth a look if you’re in the area.
