Rainbow Beach Travel Guide
Rainbow Beach accommodation, Rainbow Beach activities and attractions, Rainbow Beach maps, transportation to and around Rainbow Beach - the ALL NEW Jasons Rainbow Beach Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Rainbow Beach.

Rainbow Beach is a small but vibrant coastal township just an hour’s drive north of
Noosa. This relatively young town has grown from a camping destination to a highly desirable beachside dwelling place, with a range of facilities and accommodation. It is located on a sweeping arc of surfing beach, and takes its name from the backdrop of towering coloured sand cliffs which form part of the Cooloola National Park.
On the inland side of the peninsula is access to the protected waters of Tin Can Inlet and the Sandy Straits. Visitors to Rainbow Beach can relax on the beach, or enjoy more adventurous activities such as exploring Cooloola National Park by four-wheel drive, canoe or trail bike. Just across the estuary is the spectacular scenery of
Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world and easily visited from Rainbow Beach. The vehicle ferry to Fraser Island departs regularly from nearby Inskip Point.
