Urangan is a pretty suburb of Hervey Bay, on the Fraser Coast of Queensland. Urgangan is known for 
its boat harbour, decorated sea wall and historic wooden pier - the perfect place to go for a spot of fishing. The Urangan Botanic Gardens also offer a peaceful setting for a stroll, with barbecue areas and a lovely wetlands. The local marina has a selection of al fresco cafes for dining out.
Located in a quiet corner of the Great Sandy Straits Marina, Urangan is the place to catch a cruise to glimpse of the Humpback Whales that visit the waters of Hervey Bay between July and November. Well known landmarks include the humpback whale replica at the harbour and Vic Hislop’s shark Show on the Esplanade.
