A small but pretty town, Woodford is located on the D’Aguilar Highway, 24km west of Caboolture. It was one of the earliest settled areas and is well known for its colonial style shops, grand old hotel and wide tree-lined streets. Woodford has a large collection of narrow gauge steam locos and on Sundays, a restored steam loco runs through the town.
Woodford is host to one of Australia's largest music festivals: the Woodford Folk Festival, held each year between December 27 and New Year's Day.
