  • The historic Lake Eacham Hotel, fondly known as the Yungaburra Pub, takes its given name from the neighbouring lake and National Park.
  • Lake Eacham is a volcanic crater lake where the tropical highland forest descends right down to the crystal clear water. If visiting the Lake, take time to know the dreamtime stories of the local Aborigines, the Ngadyan people.
  • Lake Barrine is another crater lake where cruise boats operate.
  • Curtain Fig Tree is Yungaburra's great tourist attraction, located 3 km from the town. This huge tree has, by an accident of nature, created a vast curtain of roots which drop some 15 m from the main body of the tree to the ground.
  • The tiny settlement of Topaz, once a stopover point for fossickers on their way to the goldfields is now the centre of a dairying industry and tea growing.

  • Allumbah Pocket is a walking track and picnic area on Peterson's Creek which runs past Yungaburra. It leads to Frawley's Pool, a popular swimming hole and picnic area. The site is dedicated to Geoff Tracy, renowned environmentalist who died in 2004.
  • Platypus watching is a popular tourist attraction, especially on Peterson's Creek.
