Bicheno Travel Guide
Bicheno accommodation, Bicheno activities and attractions, Bicheno maps, transportation to and around Bicheno - the ALL NEW Jasons Bicheno Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Bicheno.

A perennial favourite with holiday makers, Bicheno combines a mild climate, with sparkling ocean beaches and a great climate. Once called Waubs Bay, its colourful history includes whaling, sealing and coal mining. It’s still home to crayfishing and abalone boats, and to the fairy penguin, Eudyptula minor. Since Bicheno is the centre of a robust crayfishing industry, a feature of this area is its fabulous seafood. For fishing enthusiasts there are also excellent surf, rock, sea and estuary fishing opportunities. At low tide, with care, it is possible to walk out from the main beach to Diamond Island. For a glimpse of Tasmanian history, visit the grave of Tasmanian Aboriginal heroine Waubedebar.
