Once a small retirement village, Binalong Bay has re-invented itself as a summer surfie resort due to the pristine beaches and excellent surf in the area. The north-facing beach and tranquil water of Grant’s Lagoon make this small town an idyllic location for a peaceful summer or winter getaway. This beautiful strip of coastline also attracts ocean fishermen who come here for the game fishing season between December and May. Binalong Bay is also the haunt of bushwalkers with its easy access to some of the state’s best coastal reserves, notably the Bay of Fires Coastal Reserve and the Humbug Point Recreation Area.
