Cygnet Travel Guide
Cygnet accommodation, Cygnet activities and attractions, Cygnet maps, transportation to and around Cygnet - the ALL NEW Jasons Cygnet Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Cygnet.

Cygnet is one of the major centres in the Huon Valley area. Once an important apple growing town, in recent times it has become the centre of an alternative lifestyle community which have established woodturning, wholefoods shops, craft activities, vintage car restoring and holiday cottage accommodation as important local industries. Wooden homes are a distinguishing feature of Cygnet, which also boasts one of Australia's oldest houses of worship in St James Catholic Church which was built in 1840.
The local attractions include cherry orchards, gemstone fossicking fields, craft shops which display some of Tasmania’s finest classic clocks, the Hartzview Vineyard and the
Talune Wildlife Park which features a range of native animals including the Tasmanian devil and koalas. The area is ideal for picnics, fishing, fossicking, bushwalking, boating and scenic drives. The drive along the coast towards Hobart via Verona Sands and Woodbridge is very pretty with the Huon River becoming wider and wider until it opens into D'Entrecasteaux Channel.
