Things to Do in Freycinet

• Freycinet Peninsula
  The most popular park in Tasmania, it is noted for its bushwalking trails, abundance of wildflowers and Aboriginal shell middens. The 27km circuit track has walks ranging from one to ten hours and overnight camping spots. There are spectacular views from Cape Tourville lighthouse, and Moulting Bay Lagoon is a wetland of international importance with bird populations including many black swans.
• Wineglass Bay
  One of the most photographed spots in Tasmania, this unspoilt white beach stretches in a perfect curve along the clear blue water. A three hour walk to the top of Mt Amos provides spectacular views.
• Maria Island
  Maria Island National Park has hiking opportunities, convict era buildings and historic tours. The original Penitentiary Units now provide basic hostel accommodation.
• Schouten Island
  This seldom visited desert island off the tip of the peninsula has some interesting walks for the adventurous, or why not take an eco cruise to the island?
• Seaside towns
  Bicheno, Coles Bay, Swansea and Triabunna are popular holiday towns with a good range of accommodation, tourist facilities, outdoor activities and watersports.
