Miena Travel Guide
Miena accommodation, Miena activities and attractions, Miena maps, transportation to and around Miena - the ALL NEW Jasons Miena Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Miena.
Miena is a small fishing village on the shores of Great Lake. Great Lake, which is 22 km long, has the distinction of being the highest lake in Australia and, until Lake Pedder was drowned, it was also the largest freshwater lake in the country.
The great appeal of Miena is the fishing in the area which, apart from attracting the country's best trout fishermen, also attracts such 'personalities' as George Harrison and that well known fishing enthusiast, Malcolm Fraser. The shores of the Great Lake are ideal for bushwalking.
