Stewarts Bay Lodge and the local region has everything you need to enjoy your stay if it is only for a night or for a week or more.

Nature has provided for us some of the greatest facilities on offer.

The beach is a playground for young and old. The bay is a spectacular smorgasboard of delight. Our walking trails are great exercise machines.

Currently some of our amenities are being redeveloped.

Alarm clock: A digital alarm clock is provided in each cabin.

Baby cots and highchairs: Baby cots, highchairs, cot linen and blankets are available free of charge. Please indicate your requirements at the time of booking.

Banks and EFTPOS: Major banks are in Hobart. There are Westpac and Commonwealth Bank branches in Sorell. The Port Arthur General Store operates a Post Office banking service. Automatic teller machines are located in the supermarkets at Nubeena. There is also an ATM inside the building at the Historic Site.

Barbecue areas: Barbecue and tables are provided at the resort. You can also have a barbecue on Stewarts Bay Beach.

Beach towels: Beach towels are available for your use free of charge.

Bottle shops: There is a drive-in bottle shop at the Fox and Hounds, 2kms north of Stewarts Bay Lodge or alternatively there is a bottle shop at the Nubeena Tavern and at the IGA supermarket at Nubeena.

CD player: A CD & DVD player and radio is provided. In it you will find a relaxation CD to create the perfect mood. DVDs are available for use free of charge from reception.

Check out: Check out time is 10am. If you do need a slightly later check out please discuss with us and we will see if it is possible.

DVDs: Cabins are provided with a DVD player. A limited range of DVDs are available from reception, free of charge.

Fax: A fax is available at reception. If you would like to receive a fax the number is 03 6250 2999.

Hair dryers: A hairdryer is available in your bathroom.

Heaters: Cosy electric heaters are installed in all cabins.

Internet: Internet access is available at Oakwood just north of Port Arthur at 'Hire it with Denis' and at the Online Access Centre at Tasman District School, Nubeena.

Ironing: An iron and ironing board are located in your cabin.

Medical Centre: and Chemist Tasman Medical Centre, Nubeena. Phone 6250 2202. Opening hours are 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

Tasman Pharmacy: Nubeena. Phone 6250 2788. Opening hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am till 5pm. Wednesday 9am till 2pm. Saturday 9am till 12pm.

Messages: Messages will be delivered to your cabin.

Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, Bankcard and EFTPOS. We even accept cash!

Pets: In order to protect our wildlife, we regret pets are not allowed.

Post Office and shops: Adjacent to our driveway entrance is the Port Arthur General Store. There is a wide range of grocery items available and they are open from 7.30am till 5.30pm (6.30pm in the summer). Inside the general store is a Post Office which is open 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday.

A 10 minute drive further along the Arthur Highway is the town of Nubeena where you will find two small supermarkets, a fruit and vegetable shop, news agency, chemist, bakery, fish shop, hardware store and hairdresser.

Phone: The public phone is just past the shop at the end of our driveway. The Historic Site also has public phones located outside the main building. Phone and internet credit cards are available from the Port Arthur General Store and Seascape IGA Supermarket at Nubeena.

Reception Reception is open 8am till 7pm daily (slightly shorter hours in winter). A small variety of gourmet foods, delicacies, tea and freshly ground coffee is available for purchase from reception. Information and brochures about our local attractions are also available from reception.

Servicing of cabins: Cabins are serviced at the end of your stay. Tea and coffee are complimentary on your arrival and more supplies are available from reception or the general store.

Smoking: All cabins are strictly non-smoking for the comfort of future guests.

TV: Stewarts Bay Lodge has a digital television system and receives excellent reception of all stations.

Water: As part of our environmental commitment, the water you use is obtained from the cleanest source imaginable - rain.
