Halls Gap Travel Guide

Halls Gap accommodation, Halls Gap activities and attractions, Halls Gap maps, transportation to and around Halls Gap - the ALL NEW Jasons Halls Gap Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Halls Gap.

Ideally sited in the heart of the Grampians National Park, adjacent to Lake Bellfield, the unique village of Halls Gap offers a wide range of accommodation, eating outlets and fine dining, sporting activities, a year-round calendar of festivals and events and the National Park Information Centre.

The Grampian Mountains, in the far south west of Victoria, were named by Scottish explorer Major Mitchell in 1836 and soon after were settled by graziers, gold miners and loggers. Extending more than 80km in length and 50km at their widest part, the Grampians are a series of mountain ranges which form the end of Australia's Great Dividing Range. These mountains make up the centrepiece of the Grampians National Park, famous for its imposing scenery, wildflowers and Koori rock art.

As the main town in the area, Halls Gap is a popular base for many outdoor activities, including camping, walking, rock climbing and abseiling.
