  • International Multi Arts Festival. This Perth festival encompasses the Festival Fringe and the Oz Summer School of International Artists showcasing leading artists in music, theatre, dance, film and the visual arts.

  • Leeuwin Estate Concert. An al fresco concert held at Leeuwin Estate Winery, Margaret River, in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by giant floodlit karri trees. Past performers have included Diana Ross, Tom Jones and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

  • Coates Hire Avon Descent. One of Australia's premier whitewater rafting events, held on the Avon River north east of Perth.

  • Shinju Matsuri Festival. Broome's annual Festival of the Pearl, paying tribute to the people who have worked, and still work, in the pearling industry, with particular recognition for the Japanese community.
September
  • Kings Park Wildflower Festival. Held in Perth, the festival showcases the state's wildflowers with displays and horticultural information.

  • Royal Show. Perth’s annual exhibition of agriculture, horticulture and livestock.

October/November
  • Festival of Country Gardens. A week of open gardens in Balingup, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown, Manjimup, Nannup and Pemberton in the state's south west.
  • Spring Festival. An annual event held in Kalgoorlie's beautiful Hammond Park, with live performances, local arts and crafts, and children’s activities.
November
  • Telstra Rally Australia. An FIA World Rally Championship in Perth with about 100 entrants from approximately 15 nations.
  • Australia vs NZ Test Cricket, at the WACA in Perth.
  • Margaret River Wine Region Festival. Held over 10 days in the picturesque South West corner of WA, this festival showcases the very best of wine, food, art, music and outdoor adventure.
  • Fremantle Festival.
  • Mango Festival. Three days of family fun celebrating the mango harvest in Broome.
December/January
  • Summer Racing Carnival. The state's premier racing carnival includes the famous Perth Cup.
