Legend tells, that on a dark night, great chief Ru landed on our beach and cleared the (ara pandanus) trees to land his canoe. So we are named Popo meaning dark and ara for the cut trees. Direct access to the beach. 8 modern self-contained villas cooled by the ocean breeze from our own beach and overhead fans. The villas are built with the latest materials and methods to be environmentally friendly without any loss of comfort to our guests. All villas are 100% insulated and insect screened. Kitchen with ceramic cooktop, microwave, fridge, separate drinking water supply, CD player and 2 station 24-hour FM radio, ITD phone, solar powered hot water. Large open plan studio villas have a queen size bed or twin beds plus lounge chairs and coffee table. Single beds are available for extra people when required. Vehicles for hire to guests at discounted rates. Restaurant bar on the beach currently under construction
