- Manihiki Lagoon
With its clear waters and tiny motu (islets), Manihiki's lagoon is straight out of a picture book. There is excellent swimming and snorkelling, with plenty of colourful tropical fish to view.
- Diving & Fishing
The offshore diving is considered to be among the region’s best (visitors must first obtain a permit at the village of Tauhunu). There is good game fishing in the open waters beyond the reef, including catches of yellow-fin tuna (bonito).
- Black Pearl Farms
Manihiki is famous for its black pearls and tours can be arranged to the farms to learn about the cultivation process, and to watch the seeding of oyster shells for future pearl harvest.
- Tauhunu Village
Located on the western coast, Tauhunu is known for its pearl carvers and for the Fare Ariki – one of the old houses still standing after Hurricane Martin struck in November 1997.
