Shopping
Lautoka offers local shopping bargains, with Indian saris, Indian gold jewellery and cotton fabrics all reasonably priced. The
Naturally Fiji range of body oils, soaps and perfumes are also available in town.
Dining & Nightlife
Nightlife and dining will be restricted to local restaurants in town. There’s less choice than
Suva or
Nadi, but dining is inexpensive, with some good options for Indian, Chinese and traditional Fijian fare. There are also nightclubs in town – Fridays and Saturdays are the most popular nights. If you are island hopping through the
Yasawas, many of the resorts include meals in their rates, as there are often no restaurants or shops on the islands.
