Nadi Travel Guide
Nadi accommodation, Nadi activities and attractions, Nadi maps, transportation to and around Nadi - the ALL NEW Jasons Nadi Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Nadi.
The majority of visitors to
Fiji arrive at Nadi (pronounced 'nan-di') International Airport. From here, it is a 20 minute drive south to bustling downtown Nadi. Nadi is growing quickly and provides the majority of visitor
shopping and service facilities for the region. Nadi has a great selection of
accommodation from hotels to luxury resorts and lodges, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants lining the main street.
Attractions in Nadi include the busy markets, where you can barter for crafts and jewellery, and the elaborately painted Swami Temple at the south end of Nadi's main street.
Beyond Nadi, the beautiful
Garden of the Sleeping Giant, with its collection of South Pacific plants and flowers, overlooks the airport, while just to the north, Vuda Point is where the first Fijians are believed to have landed. Canefields still dominate the countryside around Nadi and the small cane trains crisscross the roads, taking sugar cane north to the huge mill at
Lautoka. Just 6km west of Nadi is
Denarau Island, with its upmarkets resorts, golf course and shopping complex. From here, you can take a range of
cruises out to the stunning
Mamanuca and
Yasawa groups.
