Suva Travel Guide

Suva accommodation, Suva activities and attractions, Suva maps, transportation to and around Suva - the ALL NEW Jasons Suva Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Suva.

The harbour city of Suva sits on a hilly peninsula between Laucala Bay and Suva Harbour at Viti Levu's southeastern corner. Enjoying stunning views, Suva is Fiji's vibrant, multi-cultural capital and the largest city in the South Pacific. An exciting blend of cultures and colour, Suva is home to the country’s largest market, and a thriving textile industry. Suva has retained much of its early colonial character and you'll find some fine old buildings tucked among the modern high-rises. Suva has plenty of things to do, and a great selection of accommodation, bustling shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs.

A good way to soak up the atmosphere is to visit Suva's colourful market, with its fresh produce and local crafts, or take a walk along Suva's sea wall and enjoy the harbour views. Heading down the main thoroughfare of Victoria Street there are shops, restaurants and banks, and towards the end of the parade, you'll find Suva's Government Buildings, Albert Park and the lovely Thurston Gardens. Other sights to see in Suva include the city's impressive Roman Catholic Cathedral (dating back to 1902), the superb Fiji Museum, the Parliament Buildings near Suva Point and the old cemetery with its Chinese area.
