Golf in Fiji
In total there are a dozen golf courses in
Fiji scattered over the many islands. Tournaments such as the Fiji Golf Open and the Pacific Harbour Golf Club Open attract many golf enthusiasts.
Pacific Harbour has Fiji's most recent 18-hole championship golf course - located at the
Pearl South Pacific Resort. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, the course has well-bunkered fairways and golfers can test their skills on a couple of par fives and fours. Waterways, mountains and lush vegetation surround the course, giving it a typical South Pacific beauty. There are bar and dining facilities in the clubhouse as well as changing rooms. Green fees are F$25.
Denarau Golf Club's 18-hole championship golf course is also of international standard. Set amid coconut palms, this course was designed by Japan’s Pannya Planning and has some adventurous water hazards and long, open fairways. The green fees are $150 and include a compulsory golf cart.
