Located 15 minutes drive from downtown, the Tjibaou Cultural Centre is a meeting place of culture and arts. The centre gives visitors the chance to discover world famous architecture and beautiful landscaped native gardens. The Tjibaou Cultural Centre's collection of Pacific Art numbers almost 800 works and includes painting, decorative arts, sculpture, photography, prints and drawings. It is a collection of exceptional depth and complexity which reflects the many histories of Pacific Art. Our native ceremonial space gives visitors the rare opportunity to visit a native chief house. Add the Kanak dance show and you will see why every trip to New Caledonia should include a visit to the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. Open 9am-5pm daily (closed Mondays).
