Wineries in and around Alexandra
Central Otago is New Zealand's fastest-growing wine region and is gaining a growing international reputation for its wines. The first vintage was produced back in 1987 and today the region's high altitude, warm summers and cool autumns have led to some award-winning wines. Pinot noir and white wines have done particularly well.
