Kate and Lynne warmly invite you to make yourself at home at the Big Blue House during your visit to Auckland. Be greeted by our friendly cat and dog; relax in our unique homestay environment. Our rooms are equipped with tea/coffee facilities, channel TV, sofa, writing desk, electric blankets, heated towels, bathrobes and slippers. A generous continental breakfast will set you up to either chill out beside the swimming pool and spa with a drink and a good book or make use of the easy access to Auckland attractions. A quick bus ride will take you to Ponsonby Rd shops and cafes or downtown Auckland, the Viaduct Basin, and harbour ferries. In just 10 minutes walk from the Big Blue House, you can be at the Auckland Zoo, Museum of Transport & Technology, Western Springs Lake or Meoloa Reef nature reserve. A great selection of restaurants and cafes are also within easy walking distance.

The Big Blue House is a welcoming and safe haven for travellers. Honeymooners or families will find our Seaview Room is a great place to start or finish a New Zealand holiday. Single travellers on a budget will be surprised with the comfort and affordability of our Hideaway Room.
