    New Zealand's largest amusement theme park, with rides ranging from the traditional log flume and corkscrew rollercoaster to the new Power Surge and Fearfall rides.
  • Auckland Botanic Gardens
    A 64ha garden located south of the city at Manurewa, with ornamental plants, native and exotic species and guided rambles on the first Sunday of the month.
  • Howick Historical Village
    East of Auckland, this restored village settlement showcases settler life from the mid-to-late 1800s; the restored buildings include settler cottages that were home to Auckland's early fencibles (soldiers/settlers).  Live theme days occur on the third Sunday of each month.
  • Glenbrook Vintage Railway & Farm Park
    Located off Waiuku Road south of Auckland, the park features steam train rides and a children's animal park.
  • Waiwera Thermal Resort
    Some 30km north of Auckland, Waiwera's hot thermal pools and adventure slides are a popular leisure attraction.
