Bay Of Islands Travel Guide
Bay Of Islands accommodation, Bay Of Islands activities and attractions, Bay Of Islands maps, transportation to and around Bay Of Islands - the ALL NEW Jasons Bay Of Islands Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Bay Of Islands.

With its clear blue waters, marine wildlife and myriad of islands, the beautiful Bay of Islands is New Zealand's finest maritime playground and one of New Zealand's leading holiday destinations. Diving, kayaking, swimming with dolphins and nature cruises are just some of the host of year-round activities you can enjoy in the Bay of Islands. If you'd like to swim with the dolphins or take

one of the many scenic cruises, you can book at Bay of Islands visitor centre on the wharf.
The three main centres in the Bay of Islands are
Paihia,
Russell and Kerikeri. All offer a superb selection of cafes, restaurants and accommodation. Just across the harbour lies the historic village of
Russell, with its heritage buildings and colourful history.
Waitangi, just out of Paihia, is where New Zealand's founding political document, the
Treaty of Waitangi, was signed back in 1840. You can take a stroll in the lovely grounds of the Treaty House, or walk the track to
Haruru Falls. Historic
Kerikeri is where the early missionaries set up shop, and there are some wonderful old buildings to explore here, and lively arts and crafts studios. Tours are available to
Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach in the Far North, and across to the historic Hokianga Harbour on the Kauri Coast.
