Travel to the Chatham Islands
Air Chathams flies direct to the Chatham Islands from Auckland, once a week, from Wellington three times a week and from Christchurch once a week; flight times range from one to two hours. The airline also conducts sightseeing trips and flights to Pitt Island. Various tours can be taken between the different islands, including eco tours that explore the stunning scenery of the islands.
Once you arrive, hiking is one option for exploring the islands, though vehicles can be hired to explore Chatham Island. Most road are unsealed, so care should be taken when driving.
