Ski & Board Hanmer Springs

High on Mount St Patrick, and just a 40min drive from the scenic alpine and thermal resort of Hanmer Springs, this ski and board area is ideal for intermediate levels. It has three basins and a variety of terrain offering something for everyone. The season runs from July to mid-September, and when the snow is good and there is fabulous skiing and boarding.
The ski runs are great for all stages of skiers and boarders, but those of intermediate grade will discover a mountain of fun (60% of the slopes are graded Intermediate level). All the main runs are groomed and there is plenty of virgin snow for the more adventurous to enjoy.
To get there, take Clarence Valley Road out of town - it is clearly signed to Hanmer Springs Ski Area. The turn off to the ski area is at St James Station, about 10km out of town. The access road is a narrow gravel road with a few tight corners - make sure you carry chains. The parking area is just below the Lodges.
