It is a family business, 100% owned by New Zealanders John and Rosemary O'Connor. With nearly 60 hectares under vines, Matariki Gimblett Road Estate lies in the heart of the prestigious, stony 'Gimblett Gravels' appellation on the western edge of Hastings city, Hawke's Bay. The interaction between climate, soil and water - the Gimblett Road Terroir - gives Matariki consistently ripe fruit, unique flavours and an ability to produce wines of a truly international standard.
