Inglewood Travel Guide
Inglewood accommodation, Inglewood activities and attractions, Inglewood maps, transportation to and around Inglewood - the ALL NEW Jasons Inglewood Destination Travel Guide is your complete visitor guide for Inglewood.
The charming rural town of Inglewood is set in the verdant Taranaki pastureland, just below the bush-clad Egmont National Park. Mount Taranaki looms majestically over the town and surrounding district, and on a clear day, the central North Island mountains are also visible.
Inglewood supports the local farming and sawmilling activities – indeed, at the time it was founded in the early 1870s, it boasted some of the heaviest forest in Taranaki. Today, it is a peaceful base from which to explore the region's attractions and the closest centre to the North Egmont Visitors Centre, 18km to the southwest.
The Taranaki coastline has some excellent surf beaches, including Fitzroy and Oakura, both readily accessible from the town. Inglewood is home to the TET stadium with its world-class, all-weather Mondo track, an 18 hole golf course, and the Fun Ho! National Toy Museum.
