Glacier Rock is situated on the shore of Lake Tekapo, an alpine lake in the Mackenzie High Country located midway between Christchurch and Queenstown.

Designed and built on sustainability principles by the owner, this home offers boutique accommodation with panoramic views of Lake Tekapo and surrounding mountains. On the lower floor is the Gallery that displays and sells Colin's watercolour paintings. Light and atmospheric effects are the driving force for his paintings.

The two guest rooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable each with a large ensuite bathroom. They have independent entry and access to a large patio with superb lake and alpine views. A sunny breakfast/lounge room also enjoys spectacular views.

A continental breakfast is served with fresh homemade bread.

A warm welcome will be waiting for you from your hosts, Chris and Colin Maclaren. They enjoy sharing their knowledge and love of the area with their guests.
