Formosa Golf Resort course covers an area of 440 acres making it New Zealand's longest championship course at 6650 metres off the Pro (Black) Tees. The 18-hole golf course has been designed by Bob Charles and has a par of 72, which is longer than any other existing course in New Zealand. There are 4 tees per hole: forward, regular, championship, and professional, so that everyone can play and enjoy the course. From its clifftop and coastal fairways, the course has panoramic views of Waiheke Island, Rangitoto and the distant Coromandel Peninsula. At least 16 out of 18 holes have this beautiful north-facing view of the Hauraki Gulf. Our practice facilities include an all-weather undercover driving range and the pro shop, which has golf equipment and other sundry items available for sale and hire. The Clubhouse facilities include Sprig Bar, Restaurant, and Coffee Lounge together with two large Conference Rooms, Function Room and a Boardroom. There are 50 luxury villas onsite, each with super king size bed, relaxing spa bath, twin shower and hand basins; villas offer adjoining doors for 'family living' and parking space. There are 28 Deluxe Villas set amongst tropical gardens; and 22 front row Executive Villas set amongst tropical gardens with panoramic views of the golf course and sea views. Guests of the Golf Resort and their families are able to enjoy a warm friendly atmosphere at the Sports Stadium, with access to a range of facilities such as a squash court, 2 indoor tennis courts, heated indoor swimming pool and a gymnasium.
